Today, with my girlfriend, I baked my first cake since I was about 10 years old.
It's called the Chocolate Malteser Cake - and it's yummy!
It got me wondering though, why companies don't sell the cake mixture itself - you know, the stuff that we all love to scoop up with our fingers and lick off? I think it would be a MASSIVE seller!
Anyway, while baking our cake this morning, I decided to take pictures of the different stages for you to look at and, of course, post a link with how to make it!

Next step: After the egg is added and whisked... it tastes very nice!
Once they're in the cake tins, you just smooth off the top bits (while licking the spoon of course) and then place them in the oven
Once out of the oven, you wack on the icing in between these two babies!
That's as far as I have got (as I had a show to do!), so as I write, I've left them relaxing for a while until I get back and pile on the lovely icing in the middle!
