Enchanted Top US Movies

Disney fantasy movie Enchanted has taken $70 million – and retained the tiop spot at the US box office for a second week.

The story of a princess from a magical kingdom who is propelled into the mean streets of New York City earned $17 million dollars over the weekend.

 Holiday film This Christmas, a comedy about an African-American family's first get-together in years, took the second spot in as many weeks with $8.4 million.

Angelina Jolie and Ray Winstone continued to drawing droves of moviegoers to Beowulf, which came in third in its third week with $7.9 million.

August Rush, the sentimental story of a musically gifted boy and his search for his musician parents, earned $5.2 million dollars in ticket sales, earning seventh place.

Enchanted hits UK cinemas on December 14.
