James Bond Movie Named

The title of the new Bond movie was announced today -  Quantum of Solace.

The name was revealed at a launch day at the famous Pinewood Studios, west of London, where filming began in November.

The hotly-anticipated movie, until now provisionally entitled Bond 22, stars British newcomer Gemma Arterton fresh out of drama school, who will play the role of MI6 Agent Fields.

Ukrainian model and actress Olga Kurylenko has been cast as the new Bond girl, the "dangerously alluring" Camille.

And Casino Royale star Daniel Craig reprises his role as the famous spy.

Craig's debut in the role gave the Bond franchise a new lease of life.

It also emerged today that Daniel was keen to do more Bond films after this one.

Producer Michael G Wilson said the title was taken from an original Ian Fleming short story.

He said at a press conference: "It's from a Fleming short story from the compendium For Your Eyes Only. It's uncharacteristic of most of Fleming's work. It's a character study that doesn't involve plots or anything with spies."

"We thought it was an intriguing title that references what's happening to Bond and what's happening to him in this film."
