Jennifer Makes Us Buy Mags

Jennifer Aniston is the number one cover girl for celebrity magazines.

The former Friends actress took the top spot in the latest industry poll in the US. Her ex, Brad Pitt was the number two celebrity most likely to make us pick up a mag and buy it if his cheeky face was staring back at us.

Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon and Katie Holmes took third, fourth, fifth and sixth places respectively.

Rounding out the rest of the top ten were stars who are barely, or pretty much unknown, in the UK - singers and American Idol contestants Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson tied for seventh place, and were followed by actress Valerie Bertinelli and morning talk show host Kelly Ripa.

Britney Spears was placed last among the cover subjects.

The only celebrity to have a lower appeal rating than her was Paris Hilton – however magazines with her face on them still sold more than the ones with Britney on them.
