Pierce Brosnan won't face criminal charges over claims he struck a celebrity photographer in October.

Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney James Garrison said in court papers: "After a complete review of the investigation done by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, there is insufficient evidence to prove this case to a jury beyond a reasonable doubt."

It had been claimed the 54-year-old Bond actor was involved in a scuffle with a photographer outside a Mexican restaurant in Malibu.
