Matt Wilkinson

Matt Wilkinson will host evenings, 7pm to 10pm from 2008. Matt is 25 and a fresh young talent who started out in hospital radio 10 years ago and has gained his experience at a variety of stations, before arriving at the biggest - Heart!

When was your first radio broadcast?
St. Helier hospital in South London (not Jersey) when I was 15. I'm not sure anyone was listening.

Do you have any hidden talents?
I'm pretty good a freestylin' in the kitchen, I made a bousin inspired bacon risotto the other day which I was proud to call my own. I also have a double jointed index finger but that tended to only impress other people when I was at primary school.

Describe yourself in three words:
Nice but indecisive.

What’s one thing you do to make your commute bearable?
Yawn bingo - stand at one end of the train carriage yawn and watch as it contagiously moves down the train. If it makes it to the end you score a 'line'! If everyone does it that's 'house' (VERY rare mind).

What’s the song you’re most embarrassed about loving?
The countdown theme music on BBC News 24. Why did I just admit that...
