After Wolverhampton Wanderers were sold for just a tenner, we were taken with owning a Football Club of our very own...
So, we set about finding a club to takeover, inviting clubs from all over the Midlands to let us know if they were interested. Although we didn't get any invitations to bid for any of the region's Premiership and Championship Clubs (something about needing money to spend on players???), we received thousands of entries, and finally settled upon the giants of Beechdale Boys in Walsall!

Well, after another frenetic weekend of football, it looks like the lads are gathering pace!
This weekend the Heart Breakfast Allstars, with Steve Thompson Vauxhall, took on Rushall FC and DDC Colts. Most teams would baulk at that, but not the Allstars! They swept both teams aside with a smashing 2-0 win in both matches!
Manager Lee said 'Robbie is really starting to bang the goals in this season. The team is looking very strong at the moment and we're looking to finish it all off next weekend with the final round of mini-league games'
Keep checking back for the latest updates on the team, including pictures of them in their new kit!
So, the season proper is nearly upon us, and the Heart fm Allstars with Steve Thompson Vauxhall are hearing up for another weekend of footballing action!
So far, the lads have ben taking part in a 'round robin' competition, or mini league, which will determine which league they will play in for the rest of the season. There are six teams in all, with everyone playing each other twice. The Allstars have played 3 matches up to now - winning one, losing one and drawing one. So, all fairly even at the mo!
Manager Lee said that his proudest moment was when they beat Parkhill Boys 4-0 last weekend! It was particularly proud, as Parkhill were one of the top teams from last season. Ha, but they were no match for our Allstars!
A big up must go to 'Striker' Robbie who banged in a couple of blinders in this match. As you know, Striker was the Allstars biggest scorer last season, billowing the onion bag a massive 25 times! Manager Lee said "He’s a good little player…game of two halves…we love Steve Thompson Vauxhall…110% from every player…"
So, it’s with heads held high that the lads go into another weekend of football action.
Continuing with the round robin, the guys are playing two matches over the next couple of days. They are against Rushall FC, a feared opponent, and DDC Colts, who have recently approached Jose Mourinho to be their new manager.
