Whatever you know him by – Puff Daddy, P. Diddy or Sean John – there is no mistaking his impact on the past decade. He runs Bad Boy Records, makes killer songs, produces his own line in designer wear, owns a movie production company, has appeared on Broadway and even a string of restaurants! All of these ventures have helped make him the richest rapper on the planet, with a fortune bigger than $346 million.

He started out by setting up the record label, releasing hit rap tunes by the likes of the Notorious B.I.G (Biggie), and producing tunes for Mary J Blige and Lil Kim. But his road to super-stardom was rocky, and he became embroiled in the infamous spat between Biggie and rival Tupak Shakur which ended with both rappers shot dead.

In 1999 he was served with a gag order to prevent him speaking about the spat, and was never out of the tabloids, helped by the fact he was dating R&B bombshell Jennifer Lopez at the time too.

Combs then re-invented his image and since 2000 has become the king of poptastic rap songs, including Bad Boy For Life and collaborations with Faith Evans, R Kelly, Kelis, and more recently Christina Aguilera and Keyisha Cole.
Combs is now linked to girlfriend Kim Porter, and they have three children together. He is also a massive football fan, and his favourite club is Arsenal.
