Westlife: We Want Robbie

Westlife want to recruit Robbie Williams.

The Irish four-piece – who parted company with their fifth member Brian McFadden in 2004 - have revealed the Stoke singer be welcome in their band if his former band mates aren’t interested.

Nicky Byrne’s told Heart: “Take That should take Brian back and we’ll have Robbie.”

Band mate Kian Egan added: “If I was a member of Take That I wouldn’t want Robbie back. I think they’re doing very well without him and Robbie’s doing well on his own. I think people are going to see Take That and not Robbie Williams.”

However, Nicky understands why fans of Take That would like to see the band back together.

He told Heart: “For a Take That fan I think it would be great to see them back together, I’d pay to see that, and perhaps for Westlife fans they would like to see the whole magic of a full five back on stage again so I can see that point of view.”

“I would love to go and see Take That with Robbie in there but when you’re actually in the band it’s different, there are different politics.”
